Helen White (www.krikri.be/helen) was born in Britain in 1977 and now lives in Ghent, Belgium, where she co-organizes poetry festivals and other events as a member of the Krikri polypoetry collective.
Recent publications include a contribution to the anthologies Zieteratuur (Uitgeverij Passage, Groningen, 2010) and Last Vispo (forthcoming). Her visual poem holding appeared as a poster from Paper Kite Press in 2009 and her chapbook How to Quote Visual Poetry is no. 94 in Luc Fierens' postfluxpostbooklet series.
Seeded from the word ‘is,’ her soluble colonies evolve, adapt and spread on waste ground and in urban green spaces. Litter attracts them; some survive for weeks, others only for a few hours.
