Amylia Grace

Reasons for Early Winter

An acquiesce
not
a yes

a push
a tear:

her

little
swollen
spaces

weak
after.

Thin
fingers

stiff
sticks

split
shell:

her

body
in stasis:

furtive
heralding

winter.
