You said you named the plane
Enola to honor her
you have milky eyes

Wearing wrinkled dress pants
in a documentary
I sneak
into you
through those
eyes

I can’t feel if you feel
guilty I feel guilty
just for being
American

In 3rd grade I knew
nuclear bombs
can make you evaporate

A woman you dropped it on didn’t die right away

She
spent
12
hours
crawling
towards
a
hospital
when
she
got
there
the
skin
on
her
back
had
cracked
wide
open
like
morning
glory

The doctors saw her spine

A string of pearls in red velvet
